Oneview Healthcare partners with EPAM to deliver next generation digital patient engagement tools
CHICAGO, February 27, 2018 – Patient experience software provider, Oneview Healthcare, PLC (ASX:ONE) announced today that they have partnered with EPAM Systems (NYSE: EPAM), a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and software development solutions, to meet growing demand for better digital tools for patients.
Oneview’s digital experience platform enables healthcare systems to innovate the experience of care for both patients and care teams. With the full US market launch of Oneview’s Connect mobile platform, the platform now seamlessly supports the patient journey before, during and after acute episodes of care. The platform enables patients to manage their appointments, prepare for their visits, communicate with their care team, access care information and education, and report experience and outcome data back to the provider. The first implementation of a Connect-powered smartphone app in the US market, for a pediatric hospital, will go-live in Q2 of this year, including integration with the hospital’s Cerner EHR.
A major feature and differentiator is the ability to extend the platform, using the open API to integrate third-party content and data. Examples of use cases include incorporating patient travel information, or telehealth. This ability addresses a growing need in the US market for healthcare systems to build mobile solutions for patients, rather than simply using the “tethered” web portal or app provided by their EHR vendor.
