Healthcare Food Service Staff Can’t Wait to Revolutionize Their Kitchens

Oneview’s presence at Epworth Healthcare’s Patient Experience Week (September 5-9, 2016) was a great experience for all involved. While showcasing the new Point of Care system, Epworth food service staff couldn’t contain their excitement. Kerrie, one of those esteemed staff members, was so delighted that she ran to the kitchen and returned with six of her coworkers, so they could experience the revolution for themselves. Without any formal system training, Kerrie clicked effortlessly through the interface, showcasing the solution’s ease of use.

“It’s the way forward,” she said. “I can’t wait until it gets implemented for the food services. I’m really excited to see what the next couple of months bring.” When asked how she thinks it will benefit food services staff, Kerrie said, “It will reduce our customer complaints, and it will be such an easy system where we can provide the best patient experience – with restaurant quality food service. I can’t wait for them to implement it here (at Epworth Freemasons).”

Oneview is no stranger to accolades in streamlining food service. Oneview’s meal ordering application, integration with Computrition at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) won the 2015 AHF Spotlight Award.

Needless to say, meal ordering is just the beginning for the Point of Care system at Epworth. Care teams can exchange messages with patients and can assign goals and education while collecting a wealth of data on the back end. Meanwhile, patients love the entertainment and communication features, keeping them comfortable and connected to friends and family. We are so excited to work with Epworth to bring patients, staff and services together to revolutionize how people feel about healthcare using our interactive patient care systems.
