Looking forward to 2019: New tools, new capabilities, new relationships

We have been travelers on the most amazing journeys with our customer partners who have brought an immersive experience to their patients in their current infrastructure and in newly constructed hospitals. Our focus on providing innovative and agile technology and interfaces to health systems and patients across our global footprint has helped us think beyond what we are doing today to what is possible. We can thank all our partners like NYU Langone, Lancaster General Health, and BJC for asking us to go  beyond what we thought possible. After all, one of our company values is “there is no box.”

Our foundation of vision, consultation, and innovation will continue into 2019. We are excited to tell you more about some advancements in our platform – including our Android deployments and enhancements to our inpatient product line, especially our soon to be released data analytics product. Analytics will bring numerous wins for our partners, patients, and our own organization, beginning with near real time service recovery, the ability to integrate contextual data, and self-service for our partners to query the data and to use with their current data visualization tools. This will result in new real time insights that will help solve complex problems. It will also let us develop roadmaps with purpose and proactively consult with our partners on mission critical strategies to glean more value from the Oneview system.

Lastly, an important area of focus for me will be to bring our partner nursing teams front and center in how we think about our product’s impact on patients and partner organizations. I will be meeting with our current partner CNOs and nursing leadership to conduct routine “state of nursing” meetings. The goal is to listen and understand what value our system is bringing to nurses and where we can improve workflow and user experience for their patients. Our system is a patient facing system, but in the words of a friend and colleague Dr. Claire Zangerle, Chief Nurse Executive of Allegheny Health System, “Patient experience and nursing experience go hand in hand. You can’t have one without the other.”
